Motivational Speech for High School Students

I got the chance to go back to Christchurch with Dayeon Lee 이다연 to share our stories with the students at Christchurch Girls’ High School and Middleton Grange School, thanks to the coordination by Asia New Zealand Foundation.

I shared about growing up in the UK, Malaysia, and NZ, my journey into the world of tech and entrepreneurship, and my experiences of being a #womanintech.

Dayeon shared about growing up as a third-culture kid, how various encounters and reflections culminated in her founding the Women in Health Network, and being a #womaninmedicine.

Back when I was a student at Girls’ High, I’d always find it so inspiring to listen to ex-students come back and talk about how their life had unfolded post-high school, but I never once thought that one day, I’d get the opportunity to share my own story. Needless to say, it was an incredibly special experience for me that I’m very grateful for 😊
